Lake Garda
Kids in school learn a lot of interesting facts about different countries and I specifically remember that the best way to find Italy on the map is to just look for the boot shaped country. Once you find Italy, you'll immediately see how this country has it all: it's surrounded by seas, it has the Alps and the Apennines and then it has more than 1,500 lakes.
Whether you have or haven't visited Italy yet, there are a few places you should check on your "to visit" map. One of those places is Lake Garda. There are 3 lakes in Italy that have an area of more than 50 square miles but Garda is by far the largest lake in Italy. Want to know how big it is? It has 143 square miles (that's about 230 square kilometers).
Lake Garda is located in Northern Italy. To be more exact, it's about 140 kilometers away from Milan.
The region is very beautiful! The lake is surrounded by mountains and it also has some small islands you can visit. The climate is Mediterranean so you'll definitely see citrus...
