What Do You Usually Eat When You Go Out?

We have a GREAT Italian place that specializes in take out. We generally get one of their pizzas and some of they're AMAZING fries. I love their "Whiz Wit" pizza, which is beef cheese steak meat, sauteed onions, cheese whiz, all on a thin crust. It's a heart attack on a plate, so I can only eat that one like, once a year but god it's so good! I really love the pizza they make with whole tomato slices, fresh basil and fresh mozzarella. :D

But I generally will eat anything with chicken in it, haha.

Cheese whiz on a PIZZA?!?!? And that's GOOD?? I hate the stuff, it tastes very artificial to me

Actually it depends completely where I go out. If I'm in the UK then a fast food meal like fish and chips will suffice. In Pakistan a 5 * meal is £20 so I normally have lavish food like steak or lobster.

On a night uot, anything goes, I don't do dieting or "being good" I am treating myself so I will have what I want. Taglietelle carbnoarra is a massive favourite, I know it is not imaginative but I like it!

If it's my first time at an Italian restaurant, I usually make it a point to order something with their pasta sauce on it, so I can get a sense of how good (or not) it is, so I know to avoid it next time I end up there. I'll get something like a simple plate of spaghetti and meatballs, or some braciole in sauce if they have it. Otherwise I try to avoid pasta dishes because they have the highest markup of most other items on the menu - meaning you're really not getting your money's worth.

Typically I will order things that I can't make at home easily, or are too expensive to make at home with the risk of me screwing them up. So some fried appetizers like Calamari, since I don't deep fry at home, and then perhaps something like a rack of lamb for the entree dish. I'm also a big fan of slow cooked home made soups and fried Italian greens.

For desert, if they have Zabaglione, I'm all over that, and ordering it in a heartbeat.

I find that my family always cooks Italian food at home that when I go out I like something different. I like trying out different cuisines. Mexican food is always my favorite, thai food and Chinese are next.
However, if I am ordering food in I will always go for a pizza.

If we are talking strictly Italian food, I love pastas with spicy sauces - arrabiata is a favorite of mine. I also really like getting home made gnocchi at restaurants, since I find making gnocchi myself never tastes that good - it's one of those things that I just can't seem to recreate well!

Aside from Italian food though, I like a range of cuisines - Mexican, Thai and Indian are probably my top three! I love spice!
