I remember once watching a TV series where someone brave decided to open a British restaurant in Bologna.

Does anyone know the name of this place and is it still open for business?

:)Are you talking about Vito Cataffo? If I'm thinking of the right show it was Dolce Vito, it was a six part mini series where he finds new restaurant premises and searches for the best British Produce to serve. His first restaurant he opened was called "Passion." As far as I know it is still opened.:)
