What's Your Favorite Italian Dessert?

Although I love good gelato anytime. I have found myself a bit addicted to cannolis. When I taste a fresh well made cannoli, it is just heavenly. I love the subtle flavor of the cinnamon and bits of chocolate.

I suppose during the holiday Panettone is popular, but I'm not big on fruit when it comes to deserts. I'm all about chocolate, so a nutella gelato is a plus for me.

When I wnet to Italy, I had chocolate Tartufo. It's incredible, and no matter what I try, I can't for the life of me make it. It's infuriating. Cooking websites always describe it as "a really easy dessert to make" but it is never as good as I remember it. Not to say that it isn't good: It is, it's just that it can't compare to the real-italian-deal.

I love cannolis! I don't know what is, but the mixture of crunch and smooth cream is just so good and lovely to me. I can rarely get cannolis where I am, so any time I go somewhere that has them, I have to get at least one or two!

Stop it you are all making me drool! I love deserts from everywhere but like most food (like most things!) Italians have got deserts down, cannolis, Tiramisu, pannetone, gelato, panna cotta, I could eat all of these all day! If I had to pick one, which is difficult I would have to say panna cotta, it is just so sweet and creamy. I recently discovered a raspberry panna cotta flavoured chocolate aznd I am never going back to anything else!

My all time favorite Italian dessert has got to Tiramisu chocolate cake. If you make it right it is truly delicious. My mum makes the best Tiramisu cake and to this day I haven't tried one that even comes close. I find its best served warm with fresh cream. I have always loved the coffee flavors in it and its always best to use half a packet of almonds in your recipe for the perfect flavors!

I have actually made my mouth water just thinking about it!
