What Is Your Favorite Combination Of Pizza Topping?

Well, yeah. Tomato sauce with tomato paste and some garlic and basil and a bit of olive oil, I think, with a pinch of salt.

Though sometimes we just buy frozen margherita pizzas and just add a ton of toppings before putting it in the oven. I could try to add a bit of ketchup on a piece of it, to see how baked ketchup comes out on a pizza.

To be fair, I tried also to put some sweet and hot asian sauce and it was sort of amazing fun that one time, so who am I to judge!

I'd tried something like that as well!! I like sauce on pizza. It's delicious - especially if it's unusual and tastes exotic. I must admit I'd never eaten a fruit pizza, though. Have you? The only fruit I'd had on my pizza was pineapple...

I also add toppings if I buy frozen pizzas. Somehow it's not enough to just put it in the oven.

What about slices of onions? With all types of meat as topping, onions are just simply unavoidable. I think the onions should be sliced thin rather than chopped in medium to small sizes. Just round, whole sliced onion like the ones used for the onion rings, but thinner. :):D

In addition, I would like to probably have more cherry tomatoes now than the regular tomatoes, and pair them with olives. That should make a healthy option. A personal favorite are green peppers and mushroom.

Now this is a healthy pizza. I'd never eaten something like this. Cherry tomatoes are not so popular around here. It's curious seeing how everyone else loves them.

I don't like onions, though. Never have. They're somehow too... I just don't like the taste of them. I never eat food with onions if I don't have to. Same is with garlic. I dislike it immensely. If I'm the one cooking... there is never even a single onion in the food. I guess that's just me ^^.

I would say Cheese and Pepperoni with homemade pizza sauce. I have so many different pizza toppings, usually I just see what meat and veges are in the fridge and pile them on. My last pizza was Pepperoni, Bacon, Mushroom, Capsicum, Jalapeno. Onion with tomato pizza sauce and lots of mozzarella cheese.2

Oh you guys, I just want to say, my most guilty pizza pleasure is spaghetti pizza. Some restaurants serve it as normal pizza with spaghetti in the middle of the cut quarters (in Canada, I mean). But the one I like is : dough, sauce, bolognese spaghetti spread all over, then some random toppings that I cannot remember because they were not the point, and then cheese.

IT WAS AMAZING. Probably because I had it when I was a kid and it was two of my favorite foods brought together! Nobody else understands my love for this though. Hhahaha

Kittyworker, by pepperoni do you mean the processed meat or some Italian pepperoni? (Bell peppers)

I love spaghetti bolognese, but I'd never tried it with pizza :o
You're so full of ideas, joie. :D

I don't know about funny food, though. Usually when it comes to Italians, the foods are never described as crazy or scary. Most of the Italian foods that are displayed on TV or in cookbooks are quite tame and look edible, which is one of the reasons why people all over the world love them. If the spaghetti or the pizza have become too wild or too artsy, they lost the Italian feel to it. I honestly have never had any Italian pizza that tasted funny.

That's because I come from a place who, like Pessel mentioned it, has no problem becoming too wild or artsy with pizza. Yes, Italians would consider it pervert -- baby ribs meat on a pizza? Why, of course we have restaurants who tried that! But I like the adventure of potentially funny tasting pizza and, many times the pizzas I had in Rome were too tame for me. Never the pizza slices alla spialla, but I'm just not a fan of thin crust unless it's perfectly made.

I love olives. Black olives and green olives with onion and garlic is so delicious.
In our house that is the favorite topping for everything. We place it on pizza, pasta,
bread and tortillas.

I have two favourite kinds of pizza. I love extra cheese, pepperoni, bacon, onions, and green olives. My other favourite pizza is xtra cheese, pepperoni, bacon, mushrooms, pineapple :)

I love my meats. I like a pizza with a combination of sausage, pepperoni, ham, beef and onions. I don't really like a lot of crazy combinations. I a meat loving man. Give me a pizza with meat, cheese and onions. This is what makes me happy.

I love the classic margarita. It's so simple but so delicious.
Sometimes I also like a few vegetables, like peppers, mushrooms and sometimes jalapeno peppers.

If we're talking traditional Italian then I like simplicity. Mozzarella, tomatoes and fresh basil is perfection to me.

However, in a more experimental way, I've enjoyed spicy pizzas with things like jalapenos and hot peppers on them. I also like pineapple on pizzas for that sweet and savory type mix.
