Nutella

I loved Nutella, it is the greatest spread ever! and you are right, it is very versatile, I bake so much with it and to be totally honest I do not always spread it, sometimes I just eat it with a spoon. It is nice to see someone that clearly appreciates Nutella as much as I do.

I always found nutella to be overly sweet actually....I've never tried it in baking though (it's expensive here) so maybe it's better in cakes and stuff.

I've always been baffled at how Italians generally seem to be so adamant at insisting that Nutella is some sort of health food, but it is a nice spread. I've never really liked sweet foods since I was a child but growing up I've developed a taste for certain desserts and I can't deny a plate a good old waffles with some Nutella on top! I generally find it too overwhelming but when drizzled on top of certain breakfast food I just love it.

Actually I don't think that Skippy makes competition to Nutella, one thing is chocolate and the other is peanut butter. Sure, both are powerful things to put in the bread, but they aren't direct competitors. Are they?

They are similar in a way that both Nutella and Skippy are spreads on your bread. But so are jams and butter and other things, so not really a duopoli between the two. However, Skippy does have the Skippy Natural Peanut Butter, which I have never tasted. :) Kind of like Nutella's original creamy chocolate in appearance. But not direct competitors in the market, because one is peanut butter and the other one is chocolate. Maybe it's a brand association thingy.

That is true, they have an equivalent texture, but at the same time sometimes I feel chocolate and other times I feel peanut butter. I didn't expect that peanut butter is much used in Italy though, Nutella has to be a best seller there!

Uhhh, nutella is full of sugar....I'm not saying it's necessarily bad, but it's definitely no health food:p

Nutelka is a favourite at our house. If we're hungry or having a sweet craving that's the first thing that we go for. I tend to make a mock one at home that is just as delicious, but I know just what's in it

It's not nutelka wahmed lol, it's Nutella! Now that you mention it sammien there have to be quite a few recipes for Nutella, let me look them up. Mnham! :D

Nutella is extraordinary! The combination of the flavors coming from the hazelnut and cocoa powder makes everyone's day a happier one. I'm really thankful Mr. Pietro Ferrero accidentally made this spread. Mostly I eat Nutella to relieve stress and look at the sweet side of life.

You seem to be a Nutella expert May, I never knew Pietro Ferrero was the creator (?) of it, but I do know that it's delicious. When I was younger I could eat it daily, but not anymore, daily chocolate on my stomach really makes me feel a little sick. Enjoy it while you can!

I've seen Nutella and tiny grissini sticks sold together over here. Definitely wouldn't have it for breakfast, though. That's how you catch diabeetus.

I absolutely love nutella. I definitely prefer it to normal chocolate spread (sorry chocaholics!). I love the nutty taste that nutella has, and I find nutella far more versatile. I feel that it shouldn't be advertised as a healthy morning spread for children, because it's far from healthy, however I think it tastes delicious.

I always eat nutella at the end of the launch and dinner and sometime even when I eat for breakfast. Spreaded over a piece of bread is like being in heaven. If nutella one day disappear I guess I will die with her ..

I love Nutella a little too much - to the point that I won't buy a jar and keep it in my pantry because I just scoop it out and eat it right off the spoon!

If I'm out and about and a dessert has Nutella in it, I'm almost guaranteed to buy it simply because it's Nutella flavored.

Same! Nutella is so delicious, and if I see nutella on a menu, I don't think twice before ordering it. It's rare to find nutella desserts on the menus in the UK, but when I do find one, I order it straight away!

Well right now where I live, Nutella doughnuts are all the rage.

You can understand from the picture how this would be highly dangerous, right fellow Nutella lover?!

I really like trying to incorporate Nutella into different recipes. For instance, I love making Nutella cake or Nutella cookies. Nutella frosting.. now that's great stuff. But for a snack, I eat it on bananas or graham crackers. There are crackers in Italy that are heaven--like better graham crackers.

Yes! Nutella recipes are absolutely delicious! I recently tried an absolutely wonderful nutella brownie. It was incredible.
