So, does anyone hear use Nutella? Nutella is one of my favorite "spreads" and it's so versatile! It's nice to make a toasted french bread sandwich with Nutella and Peanut Butter! It's also nice to spread on graham crackers, and I've even dipped plain chips into it! The mix of salty and sweetness is actually super delicious! Nutella can be done with so many different things and used in tons of different ways, and it adds just the right amount of sweetness.

Does anyone eat Nutella? How do you use it? What do you use it on or with? :D

I am bewildered with how popular in the US this is and to be honest I think it tastes awful. I see it advertised as a healthy spread in the morning for children and see it on breakfast tables in the US, but I cannot think of anything less healthy and apparently were sued and lost.

I am a chocoholic and prefer a pure chocolate spread, as Nutella is a hazelnut spread with some cocoa powder. Still, it's a household favorite but I do like Ferrero Rocher which is made by the same company.

I loved Nutella when I was a kid. I used to have it with rye bread on Sundays for breakfast. But when my lactose intolerance became a big issue, I couldn't eat this delicious spread anymore. These days I occasionally buy it for my boyfriend who thinks that it tastes heavenly, while I am just happy to smell it and dwell on happy memories. :)

I'm right there with you -- Nutella was invented in wartime, to spare some resources by stretching the chocolate and all. I like to eat it (in strawberries! or on crepes!) but I don't really buy it. I prefer to splurge on some nice ganache or any fancy sort of chocolate spread. Failing this, I don't really spread anything, and I eat my crepes with sugar and lemon instead!

I've seen places sell crepes with nutella as a filling for an extortionate price, for a spoon of a chocolate spread that is the same price as say some sauteed mushrooms. I guess it appeals to children as they know they will eat it. Still, think of the percentage profit. I think in the US it is alongside peanut butter as a popular spread, just as Marmite is in the UK.

Hahhaa I'm not even surprised.

I would never pay for crepes, usually. Paying for crepes is not cost efficient. I can make at least a dozen, if not more, perfectly nice and tasty crepes at home for only a few bucks, and unlike pizza, it requires no special skill like "how to knead dough proper" or anything.

I actually don't really like PB. Or jam. I guess I'm not a spread type of gal. I mean, I was talking of chocolate spread earlier, but I am happy just eating it by the spoon!

I never knew that Nutella was in fact Italian! That's awesome! I do enjoy Nutella. The thought of it when I was younger made me think it was really gross, but then when I tried it, I loved it! I've even put it on pancakes. One thing I'm disappointed about, is that here in the states, they've replaced the breadsticks in Nutella packs with pretzels. The thought of pretzels with Nutella is not appetizing to me at all. I wish they would have kept the breadsticks.

One thing I could never eat, is Nutella on toast. I can eat it straight by itself which a lot of people would find gross, but on toast for some reason, I just couldn't do it. I've heard of people putting it on Italian bread with butter though, and that seemed alright...Plain toast just couldn't cut it for me with Nutella!

Yes, I eat Nutella more times a week. It is not really healthy but the pleasure is very high when I am eating it. I am from Austria and in the shops you can buy a lot of different nougat creams but none of them has such a good taste like Nutella. I eat it only sometimes together with meat. The most time I put it on white bread and then above a tier of sour cream. You should try this once and believe me you will love it. I have not tried it because I am funny, my father showed me that once when I was a kid and asked me to try it with sour cream. At that time it became usual for me to eat Nutella together with sour cream. Nutella is only one of many good products of the company "kinder". I am not hundred percent sure, but I think they have their headquarters in Bologna.

I have never heard of eating Nutella with sour cream! Or with meat! I totally have got to try it with sour cream combo; it's sounds unusual enough to taste really good! A good combination of sweet and tangy. :D

I was criticized very often for that from people that saw it, but for me it tastes wonderful and only this matters. At the end, other people are eating other strange and unusual things and I am eating my unusual combination and I love it. Try it once and you will love it too. Enjoy your meal!

I was not aware that Nutella was an Italian product. Yes, I use it a lot, well not a lot lol because it's really power food and I cannot put it in my bread all the time or else I would gain a lot of weight, but I do love it and eat it at least once per week. :)

I used to love Nutella when I was a kid too :) It was so difficult to buy it, especially during the 80's and the 90's, my parents would make great sacrifices to be able to buy it from time to time!

However, even though I still love the taste, I try to stay away from it, for 2 reasons:
1. it's really not ideal for me to eat a lot of nutella or any other kind of chocolate cream.... I used to be fat once, I do not wish to repeat the experience :D LOL
2 and second of all, I once tried heating up some Nutella, to make chocolate cream for a cake (ran out of cocoa, wasn't able to quickly make chocolate cream, so I just used Nutella). Well... it became gooey and gross, and when I saw that mixture of.. whatever that was I realized this is not really chocolate! So, my will to eat any other kind of chocolate cream has vanished. Just like Gabe, I prefer pure chocolate instead.

I remember the times when I ate whatever I wanted and my body didn't complain, I was super healthy, but from 30-35 onward the body starts to be more picky and I simply can't eat so much of it. :)

I do like Nutella, but come on, it is like eating sugar on a spoon! I do take some issue with Nutella because I see commercials and marketing for is saying it is actually HEALTHY, that it is just milk, cocoa, and hazelnuts - all healthy things a growing body needs! I even had an argument with an Italian friend who claimed it was very good for you. I like sweets and treats as much as the next person, so I guess what bugs me is that they attempt to disguise it as something good for you, when I'd have more respect for the product if they just openly admitted it is a sweet treat.

I definitely love Nutella! It isn't just a spread but it can also be used in cooking, making desserts, dip for fruits and vegetables. I myself love to dip bananas or apple in it. When I crave for something sweet I sometimes indulge in a spoonful of Nutella all by itself! I know it is far from the healthiest option, but when I want to spoil myself a bit, Nutella is my to-go snack!!

I loved Nutella, it is the greatest spread ever! and you are right, it is very versatile, I bake so much with it and to be totally honest I do not always spread it, sometimes I just eat it with a spoon. It is nice to see someone that clearly appreciates Nutella as much as I do.

Well Nutella is technically a hazelnut butter with some cocoa powder mixed in. They do that with peanut butter too. :) Yes, it's much more sugary then it was when it was first invented, but then again, it was originally sold in a solid block like butter!

I don't know how this ever reached me, but it appears that Nutella and Skippy are in a competition whenever they are on a shelf together. I often have them for breakfast with orange juice. If I see Skippy, I would usually forget about Nutella.

It's actually a bit confusing to be having these weird associations about Nutella and Skippy. But honestly, if I were presented with three different options of jams, say Nutella, Skippy and Strawberry Jam, I would probably choose Skippy over all three.

So having Nutella pizza is actually a very good idea for me. Might help me get used to Nutella.

Actually I don't think that Skippy makes competition to Nutella, one thing is chocolate and the other is peanut butter. Sure, both are powerful things to put in the bread, but they aren't direct competitors. Are they?
