Here's a question for you: what do you prefer between the three?
Would you rather pay a bit more and be comfortable in a hotel? Or, would you rather pay less than $10 a night and sleep in a tent? Bungalows anyone?

I tried camping once in Italy and never again. The campsite was in Rimini and not that far from sea. There was not much grass as the ground was very dry, it was full of ants and other flying insects . The price was great but under the summer sun the tent became an oven.

I have never tried a bungalow but many people suggest it.

Chillout, I'm so sorry to hear about your bad experience. It's pretty funny the way you tell it but I imagine how awful you must have felt.
I have stayed in bungalows before, but not in Italy. It's actually pretty nice, it's comfortable and cheaper than a hotel.
