Fried Pizza (calzone)

Omg, I remember my first calzone! I love anything fried, and I especially love pizza. Unfortunately, I don't think I can get them where I live. I guess I could make mine, but I don't think I have the ability to :( Time to travel to Toronto, I guess.

I also agree with a comment above that this is probably one of the most amazing food ideas. Calzones and panzerotti are amazing food creations. The first time I met my boyfriend's aunt, she said "everybody loves Italian food!!" hahaha. She's probably right.

I've tried it before, and it tastes really good. It's basically a pizza folded over and fried. It's quite hard to eat, because there's so much, but it's totally worth it.

I've tried calzone before, but it was in my home country and not Italy - so I'm not sure how authentic it was!

I do remember it being pretty tasty though...so that's a good thing, right?

I didn't get to try it in Italy either. I tried it in the UK, with some really obscure pizza takeaway place.

Funny you say that, mine was at a restaurant in Australia that wasn't specifically "Italian" food but more a mix of dishes from all ethnicities and calzone was on the menu. So yeah, kind of obscure for me too! Still, it tasted good so I can't complain, but it was rather random!

That's a coincidence! When I went to this pizza takeaway, the service was rather poor. But we wanted to try the calzone, and it wasn't available anywhere else, and they had a deal on. We had to wait for ages for it to come, and it was located in a strange place, but I guess it was worth it eventually!
