Castell' Arquato, Emilia Romagna

Website for the Hill Fortress town of Castell' Arquato. Established in the 12th Century, many of it's original historical buildings still stand intact. Castell' Arquato is one of the most picturesque towns of it's type, less well known than the likes of Lucca etc, but never the less one of my favourite places in Italia.

 :)

I've been there once :)
Unfortunately, I don't find it as awesome as it was described to me. The small town is wonderful, it's beautiful and the people are friendly too. The castle looks great on the outside and I've made some cool pictures over there. The thing I didn't really enjoy that much was the inside... it may be because I'm not fascinated by empty walls, but I just expected to see more medieval equipment of something.
All in all, it's worth seeing! There's even a small pub right near the castle where they serve local traditional wine. I had some tea, but the next time I go I'm having their wine!
