Are You For Or Against Dessert Pizzas?

I am for dessert pizzas only because I have a huge sweet tooth. I think that they're not really "pizzas," more just an open face pie. But done well, they are so delicious. I especially like it when there is crumple on the top.

That's true - there less like pizzas, more like pies, I don't think you really can call them pizzas just because they have that sort of base. They're delicious nonetheless!

There is an Italian Pizza Place in our area that serves Nutella Pizza. The Pizzaiolo spreads Nutella on a Neapolitan pizza crust, sprinkles powdered sugar and tops it with marshmallows. I am not really the type to experiment with my food but I am willing to give it a try. It is pretty popular with the young and old alike.

I have to say it's probably not something that I would want to try. While I'm not much of a dessert person anyway, I'd much rather stick to having my pizza the traditional way I think.

There's nothing wrong with the sweet pizza idea of course, if it looks and tastes good then I'm sure it will do well, it's just not something I'd personally be buying.

That sounds really interesting. Definitely something I'd be willing to try. I recently saw a very similar dessert pizza recipe here -
This S'mores Pizza Is The Dessert You Need

I tried a few dessert pizzas! I think it is a fun idea. I love the nutella and banana one. I've also tried a caramel one. But other then that I haven't tried many others. I would love to make it at home, but I feel like whenever I make pizza dough it never comes out as good as the pizzeria ones!

What are some other pizza desserts you have tried?

I love chocolate, but pizza to me is always savory and I wouldn't want anything sweet on it. There is fried dough, but that's not pizza, but using the dough to make a very high calorific snack. I think people would get confused if somewhere had savory and sweet pizzas, or maybe it's more of a tourist attraction?

I did eat dessert pizzas before with nutella or chocolate cream and nuts and fruits, but to tell you the truth while eating them I did not seen them as pizzas not even for a minute, i mean the name stays of course but somehow I do not think that something sweet can be called or thought at as a pizza.

I like them well enough, but like other's have said, I don't really see it as "pizza". More like an strange....pastry? I suppose? They can be very tasty though. There's a local resturant that makes a chocolate pizza, and it's so yummy. It's got a thin Nutella base as the "sauce" and shaved chocolates in dark, milk and white as the "cheese". It's surprisingly good. I've got to drink a lot of water with it though, because oh my God the sugar.
