So there's a new trend, or I should say a newer trend that takes our beloved pizza and makes it sweet instead of savory. I want to use this thread to get the general public's opinion. Do you think it's good to have a savory pizza and sweet pizza? Or do die hard pizza lovers think that sweets should stay out of the pizza business? Personally I had a s'mores pizza from a restaurant and it was amazing. The graham cracker crust and marshmallow "sauce" was so melty and good I wanted to just keep eating until I couldn't move.

I think that all culinary experiments should be allowed on the market :D

I haven't had sweet pizza yet but I did try out a piadina with nutella once. Until then, I only ate piadina stuffed with meat and veggies and cheese, but it just so happened one day I wasn't hungry but my friends insisted I have something, instead of staring at them while they eat. So, the manager suggested I ate a piadina with a lot of nutella on it.

I think there are so many people in this world who all have different taste in food. I say - sweet pizza - why not? I just hope they make is smaller than 32 cm in diameter :D

Well I haven't tried one yet so I really don't have a say on this. Thinking about it though it just seems a little odd for me, I mean I've never imagined pizza intended to be a desert. Until I have tried one and actually like it I think I'll stick with the classic :)

Well, most people think of pizza as a main course but as I recently discovered in the Pizza with Nutella thread that the base can also be used to create desserts.

It is new to me but at the same time was actually quite nice!

I must admit I have never tried a dessert pizza but I have this real negative attitude towards mixing sweet and savoury food - in my mind, pizza is definitely a savoury and really can't imagine eating a sweet version.

My husband on the other, he has a really bad sweet tooth, so he would probably love it.

Well, I can't say I'm really "against" them, but I'm not a fan. I've tried it several times and I've liked some of them, I'll admit, but I'm a bit conservative when it comes to pizza... I don't think something sweet should be called pizza, that's all :P

I am not against it personally, but i don't know if i would be eager to try it. I like to keep my pizza very simple and conventional for the most part. I don't know if i want to combine sugar with pizza. That is a little bit too much!

I am all for it! I love my sweets and usually crave something sweet after a good meal. I have been seeing them pop up all over the place too. I have a tried a couple and they were both good, would definitely eat again. :)

I am totally for dessert pizzas! I usually end up having them when I'm eating at Pizza Hut during their lunch buffet. All you can eat apple pizza pies are great.

I would eat a dessert pizza as long as there was chocolate of some sort on it! The s'mores pizza sounds amazing!

Definitely for dessert pizza. I have seen them with all kinds of toppings. From simple brown sugar and cooked crispy to the pear and Gorgonzola. If you haven't tried that you gotta try it. There are several pizza buffet's near us that all offer a variety of dessert pizza's. They are all really good. Most are not real sweet, which is good. We sometimes make them at home when my kids have friends over. A great way to win them over!

I've only had dessert pizza one time and wasn't too impressed with it. Then again, I'm not a big dessert person anyway. The one I had was a smores pizza so it had chocolate and marshmallows on it. It was a pretty good idea I thought and it made me want to at least try it, but I wouldn't get it again.

My wife, on the other hand, ate the whole thing minus the one piece I had. She is a big dessert eater so she definitely appreciated it more than I did. So I guess if you like dessert and never had a dessert pizza before then it's worth a shot. I think I'll stick to my meat lovers pizza though!

I am not a pizza lover to be honest, so I'm not too sure about trying a sweet version. I am curious about the crust you mentioned though. Were the crackers baked into it somehow?

I've never had a dessert pizza before but I do like pineapple on my pizza. The pineapple gives it a sweet taste that I enjoy. That s'mores pizza sound delicious.

I think all experimental foods are fine. Dessert pizza sounds pretty delicious to me - especially with s'mores. Definitely for!

I don't have anything against them but I haven't yet tried one either. I see them at cafes a fair bit where I live, with things like Nutella and chopped bananas or strawberries on them, but I've just never bit the bullet and ordered one yet. They're pretty large so I feel like I'd have to be dining out with a group to go and order one!

You're lucky! Where I live, there's no chance of tasting a dessert pizza unless you gather the courage to make one yourself. Nutella and fruit sounds like a delicious combination. You should try it! :)
