Reggio Emilia

The Province of Reggio Emilia is part of the Emilia Romagna region, with the city of Reggio Emilia, the most populated city of the province, as its capital. Reggio Emilia is an important University Center, four faculties of the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia being located here. But the Province of Reggio Emilia is famous for its historical landmarks as well, Palazzo del Monte di Pieta, the Basilica of San Prospero or the renaissance Princes' Palace being among the most visited ones, but the most beautiful landscapes in this province can be seen by visiting the many medieval castles built many centuries ago.
