Italy is known for it's beautifully built opera houses that are rich in architecture and heritage. They're each so distinct and unique that it's hard not to fall in love with all of them! I've always been a fan of beautiful historical buildings, so I'm definitely drawn to the Italian opera houses! I would have to say that my favorite is Teatro La Fenice in Venice. I just love how it's mostly gold and how the lighting shines off of the gold stadium and seats so beautifully. I also love that it is built in a way that no matter where you are sitting in the stadium, you can still see the stage comfortably.

What is your favorite opera house in Italy? What part of it's design are you most drawn to, and have you been able to visit it yet?

For me old is gold. The Teatro San Carlo in Naples is the oldest opera house in Italy, founded in 1737. It is one of the most famous and prestigious opera houses in the world. Some of the first ballet productions were performed there during the opera intermissions. It is quite magnificent to look at both inside and out.

When I was a little girl, I used to dream I would sit Box 3, La Scala. I don't know why, I was always drawn to this specific theatre. And then my music classes began and I loved it even more. It simply made me feel dreamy.
That was before I knew its history.

Now, I appreciate it even more. It's one of the most beautiful theatres ever and the inside looks stunning. I've been to a few theatres here, at home, but I'd never seen one as magnificent as La Scala. Of course, I'd only seen it on telly and such...

One day, I'll try to make my dream come true.

I'd purposefully chosen the old looking one. It somehow gives the place a "magical" touch.
