Being a quaint elegant European city, Catanzaro is often overlooked by day trippers and tourist. But what they don't realize is that they are missing out on seeing Majestic Churches, great places to shop, a brand new Theatre, and a Cable Car to take them there. Although it's definitely not the Tropical Climate one might imagine, the Summers are hot and the Winters are cold, remember everything is relative. With a 10-15 minute drive you can see one of the most stunning beaches in Calabria, which is named Pietragrande, having beautiful waves and turquoise waters, there is a rock standing in the middle where daredevils dive into the warm waters below. As with most of Southern Italy the people are very helpful, warm, and generous, something like family. Has anyone visited Catanzaro? Did you enjoy the Province?
