Italy
I was wondering about your travel experiences in Italy, Which cities have you visited? Which one is your favorite?
I like to travel and I've been in several places. It's hard for me to pick only one favorite city, there are so many beautiful places I've seen.
I definitely love Rome with its art, culture, history, food and people. "Romani" are very welcoming and entertaining people.
On the other hand Florence is breathtaking with its architecture and the same goes for all the other places in Tuscany I've visited. I love Venice too, it's kind of magical if you ask me.
I left out Sicily on purpose because there's another thread about it.

I've seen the main "touristy" spots - Rome, Milan, Venice, Naples, Florence...but I am planning that my next time back, I'd like to do a bit more of the beaten path. I loved all the places I saw but ultimately I want to try and see some smaller places to get a feel for Italy outside the cities :)

You should definitely do that! While big cities have their appeal, you won't often get the real italian experience. And there are so many beautiful places to see. If you have the chance visit the countryside in Tuscany or in Trentino, it's breathtaking.
Besides there are smaller cities and villages worth visiting, every place has its peculiarities and I'm sure you would enjoy yourself very much. And i'm not just talking about sightseeing, I've found the best restaurants in smaller and less visited places.

I've visited quite a few but Rome and Venice were my favorites. They're just two incredible cities that are full of amazing people, with such history and culture... I'd return back to either one if given the chance. Hopefully, sometime soon.

Unfortunately only one and it was just for a brief moment. It was Reggio Calabria and I often say that it one of the most beautiful cities I have ever seen. I would like to there and stay for a while. It really looked as a perfect place to spend some private time with somebody you love. I was literally there for 30 minutes. We were passing through but I asked the driver to stop for a second and I really enjoyed everything there in those 20 or so minutes.

I actually like Bologna, as it's full of history and very easy to walk around. I did an on the spur of the moment day trip when I lived in Florence and I really enjoyed it. Florence will always hold a special place in my heart, but once you have lived somewhere, you do see things differently.

As someone who studied History, Rome will always be a favorite, but I do like smaller towns like Ravenna, and Lucca that have their own history and although less commercial, still attract tourists, and is easier to get around.

Milano, Genoa, Firenze, Venezia, Roma, Pisa and Verona. Those are the ones that I remember. I actually worked for a month in Genoa, it is a nice city but pales in comparison to all its neighbors, I mean, you are in the same country as Rome or Venice. It has a couple of nice sites though: the aquarium is nice although not the type of thing that you are going to Italy for, probably the most famous site is the home of Columbus. The Duomo is not particularly impressive, but the via XX settembre is very nice.
