For me, it's pretty much anything citrus flavored. I love that perfect combo of sweet and sour. It's a great way to end a meal.

Oh, I recall the first time I had gelato! It was such a pleasant surprise. My family and I were traveling over in Europe. We were actually in Germany and stopped off to an Italian Bistro. I thought let's get some ice cream for dessert. My first reaction was wow, there is something different going on here. My Italian husband laughed, and explained we were enjoying gelato not ice cream, per se. As a big ice cream fan, I soon became a big gelato fan. Although, I am usually partial to all things chocolate, in this case I vote for strawberry!

Haha yeah, I thought gelato was just a fancy name for ice cream, but there IS a noticeable difference, isn't there? I usually hate strawberry ice cream because it tasted kind of fake to me, but the gelato version is quite tasty

I don't think I have a favorite one per se, I love many flavors!

First of all, I'd like to mention the Nutella kind! It's to die for!
If anyone here hasn't tried it yet, you simply must! It's not your typical chocolate gelato, it's much, much better!

Strawberry is also a flavor I like a lot. It's also good in combination with the nutella gelato.

Fior di latte is very tasty as well. Fior di latte is usually associated with mozzarella cheese (there are a few mozarella cheese types, this is one of them), but when it comes to gelato, fiordilatte simply means pure gelato! It's like whipped cream, if I could compare it to something.

I can relate to your preference to the flavor and taste of strawberry gelato compared to strawberry ice cream. Matter of fact, my husband can buy a quart of strawberry ice cream and I do not touch it. When we pick up some strawberry gelato, we need two quarts because I am all over it.

Oh, now this sounds like a good combination! My brother and his family just got back from spending three years over in Italy, and they just rave about Nutella, now. I know you can get it in the States, but they stand by it being better in Italy, haha. And, oh, something that tastes like whipped cream and mozzarella cheese sounds delicious and tempting to try, too. I wonder, if they tried this flavor while over there. They will so surprised at my new knowledge of gelato. Well, my Italian hubby, too:)

I like gelato in general. It's delicious, and so much better than normal ice-cream. I like almost any flavor, but a few of my favorites are chocolate, strawberry and nutella. I didn't know nutella gelato existed until a few years back. It's wonderful.

The best I've ever had was a pistachio flavored gelato - it was incredible! I'm also partial to anything chocolatey - but I've never come across Nutella gelato in my travels yet! You can bet that I'll be looking out for it quite seriously now (I'm a HUGE Nutella fan!)

You really can't go wrong with gelato. Anything is good. But my absolute favorite is probably Nutella. Anything with Nutella is better. I found this great gelato place in Rome that puts hazelnuts and chocolate on top of their Nutella gelato... that was the best I've ever had for sure.

I personally love anything with chocolate in it. I really like the flavors that have Nutella in them. However, pistachio is also a great flavor to have on a hot day. I personally like the creamier ones as opposed to the fruity flavors.
