This piece of news definitely qualifies as one of the most odd I've ever read.

So, the governor of the Veneto region, Luca Zaia, is fighting hard to protect the original recipe of the Tiramisu, saying that the dessert "risks today having too many fathers and too many versions which do no justice to the dedication and creativity of the place where it was born".

He's totally against the versions of Tiramisu that include strawberries and cream, and is fighting for the official certification of the yummy dessert.

So? What do you think?

I think it's great that he feels such passion for a dessert that he wishes it protected. Does he really need an official certification? It's a food that most people recognize in its original form, and will likely always see it that way. Does he really think it harms the original recipe by changing up the ingredients?
