There is nothing worse than having a weak coffee and the froth that tastes like milk instead of a cream. After many attempts I have finally mastered the froth.
A good coffee to use is La Vazza, Seggafreddo and for the froth, use ice cold low fat milk because that gives a thick creamy froth that is worth having for dessert.

Yes the colder the better and it should be low fat as for some reason the full cream does not froth as good. I have also learned how to do the writing and creative bits at the top of the crema which impresses my guests and makes me feel good!

I once went to have breakfast, at this bar, and I got myself a cappuccino because I had already drank my coffee at home. Well.. when the cappuccino arrived, the lady at the bar made some very cool drawings in the froth! They weren't very 'simple drawings' either, they looked complicated to me! Ok, the cappuccino was awful, I barely managed to drink half of it (seriously.... awful!) but it was totally worth going there for the drawings :D

So.. how do you do them?
Is it difficult?
What do you use? Do you need to have some artistic talent in order to get them right? :P
If you can point out some tutorial for dummies (aka, for me :D) or explain how the heck they are made, I would be forever grateful! :D

It is easy! All you have to do is use the froth to draw a desired picture. A heart is the easiest one to do and you gently pour it across the top layer of the coffee which will give you the picture.

Capuccino arts are great! They make the drinks look more delicious, compared to just a plain ordinary drink. I think it also psychologically makes hot capuccino drinks look more ready to drink for people who like their coffee cold. Like me, I actually prefer cold capuccino drinks than than the hot ones because of the after taste. :)

Yes I also attempted froth so many times and it never worked out until my father made it and showed me the secret to great froth which was the cold milk and I was surprised that it was low fat as I also thought full cream would have been better! I also like cold capuccinos sometimes but there is nothing better than a good coffee either way!

I have one of those too and it never worked for me I eventually threw it away but then my Dad told me to try his one day and I complained that it doesn't work and he showed me that it does, ice cold low fat milk!
