Well, I'd been thinking about this movie for some time now, especially since we'd started a nice discussion about movies set in Italy. I was really curious whether this one can be considered one (a movie set in Italy) and so I checked, aaand... the filming was made both in Italy and Britain!

It's an absolute must! Both Judy Dench and Maggie Smith act! And Cher as well! I must admit I didn't know that. I didn't recognise her.
It's also known as : Chá com Mussolini

Here's what it't about if there's someone who hasn't seen it yet:
"A group of elderly British women, who the Italians have named the Scorpioni, have chosen Italy, specifically Florence, as a place to live to blend their proper British sensibilities with their love of Italian art and culture."

Here's the photo:

Any thoughts?

I love movies like this, where culture and conversation is shared in a beautiful location. I had forgotten about this movie and for some reason I had no idea that Cher is in it. From the cover of the DVD, it looks like Cher has a significant role in the move. Another one to check for on Netflix.

Sure does. I don't really remember her. My attention was mostly focused on Judy Dench and Maggie Smith, seeing as they're my favourite actresses, so I must admit I'd barely noticed anyone else. I would have seen her either had I not read the name accidentally and then looked better at the photo - and sure there is Cher. I'll have to re-watch it. Now I'll try to see it in a broader view.

I've just noticed that ''tea'' in the title is not capital. So clumsy of me.
