Spaghetti is My Vice

Oddly, as a little girl I didn't like it, but when I became a teenager, I became a spaghetti addict. It became a Saturday staple at my house, and there were many times we had multiple times a week. I adore it. My favorite birthday memory, in fact, is one day when I was surprised with three different spaghetti meals from different friends. Seriously, I ate three dinners that day. It was crazy, but so much fun!

I love pastas and lasagne. My mother makes the best pasta with chicken or ground beef. I like the Olive Garden alot. It is a popular restaurant in the US.

Any pasta is good pasta. I love lasagna and linguini, too, but spaghetti is the meal that gets my taste buds circulating like no other. I'm very partial to good meatballs with it, too. I have to say 'good' because I've had some miserable meatballs before, but when they're good, it's yummy.

I've been to the Olive Garden, and it's pretty good.

I really like tortellini, I don't care if it is potato or cheese, I like it. I also like different sauces, real fettacini is great with the oil and garlic type sauce, not to keen on the creamy sauces commercial sauces :jimlad:

I like spaghetti as well. I remember that when I was child I am always requesting my mother for spaghetti every time on my birthday. Even now that I am all grown up, I still prefer spaghetti as my treat for my birthday.

I really love spaghetti and my family too. Its the family's favorite food. Everytime we have our family bonding in preparing a food spaghetti is always present. We love it so much.

Me too, there is so much one can do with spaghetti and pasta in general. I guess my preferred spaghetti dish would be 'La Carbaonra' which is spaghetti with egg and bacon.

You get a chance to eat three different delicious spaghetti in a day!? You're lucky. Oh well, I guess that's alright. You see, everyday, my meal is always the same. Spaghetti Spaghetti Spaghetti. Yum-yum> And I never really got sick of it.

For myself, I don't like potato tortellini, but I do like cheese tortellini. Cheese in anything is pretty darn good. I agree on the sauces, too. I love garlic, but I don't like the real creamy stuff.

I've never heard of that combination before. It sounds like a breakfast pasta dish. It might be interesting to try it. Is there a recipe here somewhere?

Yeah, it was my birthday. I went to a friend's house and they surprised me with a birthday party that included a dinner of spaghetti. When that was over, my best friend at the time had asked me to come by her house. When I got there, her mother was just finishing up my surprise birthday meal -- spaghetti. When I got home, my parents had spaghetti waiting for me. It was a lot of spaghetti, but it was awesome. All three were fixed a little differently and, well, you just can never have enough of it in my book!

I do agree Italian foods such as pastas, spaghetti's are really great, they were also my favorite food when I was still young and as for now, It's still one of my favorite choices whenever we would eat at a restaurant though I'm still young at heart. :biggrin:

Honestly, if I get to an Italian restaurant, there's no doubt what I'll be ordering -- spaghetti with meatballs. You just can't beat it. I made some spaghetti last night and warmed up the leftovers for lunch today!
