Pope Francis Didn't Want To Be Pope

Well, this is news to me!
It looks like our Pope Francis didn't actually want to become Pope, even though I think he is perfect for this job (I like him a lot).

He said:
""Anyone who wants to be pope doesn't care much for themselves, God doesn't bless them. I didn't want to be pope,"

Then, when a girl asked him why he didn't move in the luxurious apartment, the Pope said:
"It's not just a question of riches but also a personality issue. I need to live among people and if I lived on my own, perhaps a little isolated, it wouldn't do me good,"

This is why I like Pope Francis, he is humble and he is a wonderful person. This is what being a Pope should be all about!
 
That makes sense. I think it's another sign of his humility.

He didn't choose to be Pope inasmuch as he probably didn't canvass any of his fellow cardinals. However, when they chose him, he accepted the position as Bishop of Rome as a calling from God, just as he accepted his original vocation to the priesthood.

That's what I think anyways! :)
