Panettone Gastronomico

We are all familiar with panettone which is traditionally eaten at Christmas time but has anyone ever tried a panettone gastronomico?

We had two last night, one made with salami and the other with salmon.

I absolutely loved it! Have you ever tried this?

I've never tried that in my life - I'd only had regular panettone, not any sort of variation on it! The salami one sounds like it would be delicious - the salmon one has me intrigued! Do you know if they're common to any particular region of Italy, or are they served all over? I feel like I've been living in the dark ages since I've never even known about this!
