I am really looking forward to this. I adore all James Bond movies, although I am sad about Judy Dench leaving the team... she was absolutely the best M I'd ever seen - it's Judy Dench, after all.

I quote, "Key scenes for the next James Bond movie, including several high-speed car chases, are to be shot on the streets of Rome [...] Three action scenes, including night-time vehicle chases, will take place in the city’s historic centre and on the famous Corso Vittorio Emanuele II thoroughfare. One chase will climax with a car crashing into the Tiber river, while another features the crushing of a Fiat 500 near the Vatican. In a separate action scene Daniel Craig as 007 will parachute from a helicopter on to the 15th-century pedestrian bridge, Ponte Sisto." unquote

I can't wait to see the bridge scene! It sounds so good. And the Tiber river! The river!! I've always wanted to see something like that. Now there's a lot of expectations about this, so we better not be disappointed.

The scenes in Italy should be filmed in late February and early March. The movie is called "Spectre" (sounds promising!) and for all of those who wish to check it out, here's the link:

It's to be released in November... who can wait that much?

I heard that they were having some issues with a few of the scenes because they wanted to shoot some scenes in historic areas with monuments, which was feared could be damaged. Never the less, it will be exciting to see these scenes and even cooler for people who live around the area. From what I saw of the Clooney wedding, Italians also love to be spectators.

Wow, it sounds really exciting! Part of the reason why I love James Bond movies is because of the stunning locations in every movie. Actually, to be honest, in more recent Bond movies I have n't paid much attention to the script. I was much more fascinated with the background, the cars and clothes.
High speed car chases in the streets of Rome will be spectacular. I can't wait to see it! :)

I can't wait to see it either! I also pay a lot attention to clothes, cars, scenery... details in general, so I am really excited about this one. It'd too bad that we'll be seeing it only in November, but oh well.

About the monuments - is it possible to somehow make a digital background or something? That way they only need access to film the background, but they can do the rest elsewhere... I mean, I don't know. I've never thought about the movie making process. I'm sure they'll think of something. It's James Bond, after all. I bet everyone wishes to be the host for James Bond...

You mustn't forget that one of the most beautiful women in the world, Monica Bellucci, is in this film. For a woman in her fifties (or in fact, a woman of any age) she's still stunning. What a great way to end Daniel Craig's reign as Bond, if indeed this is the end of his contract.

What? This is the end of his contract? Noooo way, I really liked him as a Bond. But after M has left... I guess it was to be expected that new actors are coming to the stage... I don't know. I wish we'd see more of him. Is it definite? Or is it just the talk? I don't know what to think. Maybe it's good if he leaves with a great scene...

I recall I was reading about 'James Bond' and was very surprised to find out Daniel Craig didn't even want to make the movie after Skyfall! He doesn't particularly enjoy being James Bond :D Here's a link to the article in question, he reveals some pretty interesting stuff about his role.

On another note, more related to this topic, did you know Rome is considered to be "too dirty" to shoot the movie scenes? I don't really know what to think of this. The movie crew is about to shoot the scenes Aurelia talked about in the beginning if this topic, over the next weeks or so, but, apparently, the city is not presentable. Well, this is a first!

"Campaigners suggest that a number of landmarks need vital attention if Bond is not to find himself racing past evidence of dilapidation and decay", is what the news say.

A little sad too! Too dirty and decaying! That is awful and it should be kept in good condition considering that there are so many historical factors to take into account.

I didn't know that Daniel Craig never wanted to film the Bond movie! This is news to me! But he's so very good at it...

I liked the title, "Rome shaken and stirred" although it is a sad fact. Hopefully, some repairs would solve the problem. It would really be amazing with Bond in Rome. I am really looking forward to this movie!

P.S. I know they're not allowed to film at the cemetery.
