I recently picked this fruit up in my local market and have to say what a strange taste! From its appearance its like a clementine but green. The taste is a mix of clementine and a grapefruit together. This fruit is grown in Sicily but originates from Asia.

Has anyone else tried it?

I've never seen that fruit before, but it does look enticing. The top fruit looks somewhat like a peeled tangerine, but maybe that's only because I'm eating a tangerine. ;) The other's look like avocados, nasty little fruits. So is the fruit tart? Because grapefruit is tart.

Interesting! I haven't seen this yet in the UK and we do get some really exotic fruits here. I like tangerines but grapefruit is a little sour and I have to add sugar when I eat it. I'd like to try this though.

It's actually a very strange fruit and I have grown to like it over time. If you ever do get the chance, try it!
I have no other words to describe it other than my original post. Its like mix of clementine and a grapefruit mixed together.

This fruit is indeed a weird thing to see on the supermarket shelves ;) When I first cam to Italy I was reluctant to try out new fruits and veggies I saw lying around in supermarkets but, you know, you can't help but wonder what they taste like. And then you read about the benefits and what good effects they have on your health.

This Miyagawa is, I think, some sort of a mandarin. Well, not to far away from the clementines :P I looked it up, just like I do with all the other "new" fruits and veggies. Now I'm curious to buy some!

I think it is a seasonal product so you will have to wait until the end of the summer before they arrive in the markets / supermarkets again.

They do not cost that much either unlike some exotic fruits.
