My mom used to love soups. She could eat them all and love it all. She would have loved recipes from here. I'm not really a soup eater, though. I tend to stick to chicken noodle when I'm sick and basic tomato soup for rare meals.

Well, in my opinion ,to make soup you need water and random ingredients. While I do enjoy a minestrone from time to time, I usually make my own soup and use the ingredients I find in the fridge.

One soup I like to make often is pretty easy.
You need some chicken meat, veggies (of any kind: carrots, celery, a potato, parsley, zucchini, some cabbage etc.) and noodles.
I usually boil the meat first and I get some sort of chicken broth. Then I add the veggies (cut small) and when they are boiled, I add the noodles. It's actually a great recipe, easy to prepare and pretty healthy too.
If you prefer, you can take out all the meat and veggies and serve the soup with only the noodles in it, it's pretty elegant, especially if you have company over.
