Hey!
So I am a very big horror fan. I love horror movies, I am straight out addicted to them. I read horror too, but it's mostly films (as finding a horror book that is not by Stephen King seems to be a really hard thing to do in my local library -_-). I know Italy is very important to the horror movie, as, supposedly, the best horror movies come from there, and I think there is a particular sub-gender that is typical of Italy, and that some people like Americans try to draw inspiration from here and there, and it is alledgely very good.
As a fan on horror, I have no knowledge of those movies, and that lacks to my culture. I would like to get to know some of those movies, as much as possible actually, and expend my culture. The few (non-horror) Italian movies I saw were all fabulous, so I feel like the art from this country could really be my cup of tea. Is anyone familiar to those movies, and could make me suggestions? I would really appreciated it. Don't hesitate to let me know where to start, what's good, and what's not! :p

Dario Argento is the most famous horror movies director in Italy, so i might advise any Dario Argento Movie.

Pupi avati made some horror too: La casa dalle finestre che ridono, Zeder and L'arcano incantatore.

And if you like the B-movie-thrash-splatter kind, Mario Bava and Lucio Fulci are the authors to look for.

Well, thank you very much! I am glad you could give me a hand, because it is a big world to chose from out there, it sure is. I'll check them out as soon as I can find them, and I'll let you all know what I thought! And don't hesitate to make other suggestions too, I am always open to them :)

Can anyone give me some suggestions on a good Italian horror movie? The American Horror movies used to be good but now they're trash these days. I'd like to see how other countries film their movies and present them.

Thanks for asking that question....It turned out to interest more than just you. I'll be checking out his films as well, as many as I can access in America of course.
