Italian food?

Love all Italian dishes but if I had to choose it would be the
Pizza...so many varieties to choose from traditional pizza to the new flavors of today from a meaty pizza to a vegetarian pizza to a healthy whole wheat crust pizza its your pick, truely the PIZZA is the favorite one delicious!

Just like any foods, it's down to personal choices.

Typical Italian food makes you think of pizza, lasagna etc, but I have eaten the most wonderful salads and fish dishes while in Italy.

The only "real" Italian food I like is the licorice. Now if you're talking Americanized Italian style food, then my fave is pizza all the way! Real Italian pizza is nothing like the American version...same thing goes with the pasta and bruschetta.

Being a British living in Italy I love the freshness of Italian Food. However, I do like to eat non Italian food every now and again such as Curry, Chinese, Kebab.

I agree that foreign version of Italian food taste different. I guess its all about local produce. I do miss having the option of thin crust or deep pan when eating a pizza abroad.

In Italy, It seems to be thin or very thin crust depending on the region in.

Itailian food is so fresh and delicious you can taste the love that has gone into every dish. I think Italian food is great as it is very fresh and the veg, fruit, meat and fish is all grown and produced naturally.

From what I understand about pizza, though, what we Americans know as "pizza" is not exactly quite the same as the pizzas consumed in Italy and other parts of Europe; I've eaten both here and in a European chain known as Mamma Mia and there is a difference in the tastes and textures of the two types.

Also, U.S. pizzas tend to vary from city to city; we have New York-style pizzas, Chicago deep dish pizzas, Hawaiian pizzas, and California pizzas.

Buon Giorno,

If I had to select only one favorite Italian Dish, then, I would choose Lasagne al Bolognese di Emilia Romagna ...

My 2nd choice is: Cassola alla Pesce di Sardinia ...

On the current restaurant scene in the Madrid Capital, we go to Scatto Matto (Check Mate) and Caffé Poetti, both owned by Sardinian native Ignazio Deia. We have tried numerous Italian venues in Madrid, and these are the only two, I would recommend.

In Tuscana, Gambero Rossi is a favourite venue of our´s.

Ciao.

I am enthusiast of lasagne in all its forms, from Bolognese di Emilia Romagna to vegetable lasagne to shellfish and seafood lasagne. My hobby: home gourmet Italian cuisines. Here below is a foto of my shellfish seafood lasagne.

Ciao.
Sempre,
Margaux

ohhh yeah , I love with Italian food .... Specially Like pizza , is a product of Italy.

Why would you post those photos! I'm hungry now! They look so good!
I actually think of pasta when I think about Italian food. Italians are world renown for their pasta eating habits, especially spaghetti. They have a ridiculous selection of sauces for them too, I can never make up my mind when I buy spaghetti sauce.
Then they have the pizza and lasagna and the weird stuff I almost never eat, calamari and other sea creatures I'm not used to see on a plate :P
