Well, I must admit that I don't know of a single Italian movie. I just can't come up with any names. Why is that? Do you know of any Italian films? Of course, I know a lot of movies which are staged in Italy, but how about those produced by Italian companies? It seems that, with Hollywood dominating the scene, other countries don't get much popularity, which is a shame. There's a lot of potential everywhere.

I used to watch Winx Club when I was younger, though. This is probably one of the most popular Italian cartoons. I used to watch it almost non-stop as a girl. How about you? Any Italian cartoons?

I can't think of one single Italian movie title.... but now that I know I'm not the only one. I don't feel bad about it anymore :D lol!

I'm sure the Italian movie industry is amazing, but Italian movies just aren't that popular. The American movies have taken over all the fame a long time ago :) If I had to make a list of title, I'll grow old writing it and I won't even finish.

However, I did see an Italian movie a few days ago, it was on TV and it was called "Il film dei film", I laughed so hard I thought I was gonna faint :D But I only know about it because I saw it recently.

As for cartoons.. well, I grew up in a totally different country. I grew up with Dexter's Lab, Tom&Jerry, Scooby Doo... nothing Italian. In fact, my Italian friends sometimes ask me about cartoons (yeah, we have very grownup conversations sometimes..) and I can never recognize any of the ones they mention. Last time we were talking about a cartoon that came out ages ago, something about blood components who were living inside the human body, I don't even know what's it's called, but apparently Italians remember it fondly :)

I don't know either. My parents and their friends are HUGE on cartoons and animations. They keep asking me for recommendations on what animation to watch, which characters are the most likable, which should the kins watch. How am I supposed to know all that? :) Short animations are not easy to find and I only know of Pixar and what is reviewed on Rotten Tomatoes.

I too have watched Dexter's Lab, Tom&Jerry and Scooby Doo (don't forget Pink Panther, please, or Power Puff Girls) - God bless Cartoon Network. I could watch that for days. That's how my brother and I picked up most of the English words when we were little. Winx Club was one of the newer cartoons, so I bet you don't remember it. It was one of the last cartoons I watched - then I got too old for them. I don't know the new cartoons either, which I really miss sometimes. But there is no better cartoon than Tom& Jerry. It's simply the best.

There's one Italian cartoon that was popular around here even when my mum was a girl. It's called La Linea. As you can guess, it's about Mr Linea who encounters obstacles while he's walking down the line - the cartoon lasts for only two to three minutes, but my brother and I never missed it. I bet you can find it on Youtube or somewhere.
