Italian Broadband speeds

On average do you get more than 50% of you so called max broadband speed?

I am only on a 7MB flat line through Tiscali but seems to be reasonable fast most of the time.

A download speed of 1.87 Mbps is quite poor. The upload speed is not too great either but most Italian ISP limit to around 1Mbps so its average I guess. Another thing to take into acount is the Ping time too.

I live in a small town where no fiber connection is availble but am still able to get reasonable speeds using Telecom Italia alice service.
