Has Italy managed to pull themselves out of the economic issues they've had for the past few years? Is their economy growing or is it still stagnating or getting smaller?

Well... I would use some very subtle terms to describe Italy's situation right now, but this is a respectable forum :D hehe :D
Italy is currently not doing so well, actually. Economy wise.
The thing is, ever since 2008, things started to "go south" for Italy and there have been many attempts to make things better but most of them were in vain.
Each new prime minister who comes to power keeps promising new innovations, new solutions, new... everything, but things don't seem to get any better. In fact, people are more and more enraged, politicians come with promises, which they do keep! But instead of making things better, their solutions seem to make things even worse :p
I think Italy is still overwhelmed by the bad situation it's in but, maybe things will get better in time. We'll see.

Perhaps it's time for them to get out of the euro. Keeping the euro forces them to go head to head with the German manufacturers instead of being able to devalue their currency and become competitive that way, but I suppose dropping out of the euro would be seen as a major defeat and no politician wants to be the one to suffer the consequences.
