There is nothing better than the fresh taste of your own home made pasta and it is not that difficult to make. All you need is flour, water, salt and egg. The secret to it is in the mixing and if you get that wrong then your pasta does not work out the way that it should! How many of you have tried to make your own pasta?
 
I've never tried making it at home but heard it was very easy. My elder aunts make it from scratch all the time. They have special drying racks to lay the spaghetti out. I think it tastes so much better them store bought / boxed versions. However, I don't eat pasta and home much. I may try it if I have a party and have people over. Other then that I probably wouldn't make it.
 
My Nonna used to make hers, but I have found that each time I have attempted it myself it hasn't turned out quite the way I wanted it to!

I don't know if I am just holding myself to super high standards since her pasta always turned out so delicious, but sometimes it just doesn't seem like the right consistency. I guess I need to try and make it myself more regularly -- after all, practice makes perfect, right?
