Not many countries have assumed gay people working in politics simply because that would not get them many votes, especially from the more traditional voters. It's not the case of Nichi Vendola, that even wants to get married. What's your opinion here?

I support gay marriage and would have no problem voting for a gay politician if I liked what that person was saying and doing. I think that a person's sexuality shouldn't be a factor in their career because it has no affect on how well that person can or cannot do their job.
 
Yep, I agree with that Ceres, most younger people these days think like that, but from a certain age on I do know that they will not vote for gay people because they find it strange. This guy has to be very good to be elected despite being gay.
 
Good for him. Most developed nations no longer have as much negativity towards the lgbt community as before. It's nice to see that this guy is doing well in Italy especially
 
Are you serious sammien94? I really don't think so, I feel that a lot of votes will go someone else just because you're gay, there are people who don't like gays just because they are too traditional.
