I download lots of cookbooks, but thought I would share this one is it seems good.

http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00QTBDEXE/

Family, Food and the Friars. By Gino Barbaro.

He does say never add oil to pasta, (I do, but would never tell anyone) and has some good basic recipes, so it's free for a few days in time for Christmas.

I am so sad that I am 10 minutes late for this :( lol. Oh well it would of been awesome to have but thank you for the post and lucky you to the people who got one :)

I missed it too. I would love to have a nice Italian cook book in my library. I generally surf the net for recipes, but I think everyone should have some classics. I don't think I have ever cooked out of a classic cook book in actuality. Does anyone have any recommendations of an Italian classic cook book. I might just go ahead and purchase Family, Food and the Friars By Gino Barbaro.

I've only just seen this now so missed out on the 26th December deadline, but I'm glad to see that these types of opportunities do arise in the form of free books. It's time for me to fish around a bit more!

Im a big fan of the silver spoon cook books. They are classic Italian cook books. They are very big and have almost every Italian recipe there is and they recently came out with a newer edition. It makes a great gift.
