Focaccia

My favorite Italian food is focaccia. I love the thick doughy bread and the different toppings you can put on it. I know an Italian lady who makes wonderful focaccia. She makes one with pesto sauce, broccoli, caramelized onions and zucchini. It's mouth watering and tastes fantastic. I usually don't eat bread but for some reason I really enjoy focaccia. I even enjoy the plain olive oil, garlic powder and salt.

What's your favorite focaccia?

Oohh, I love focaccia too!
But I don't like all types of focaccia. For instance, I'll never eat focaccia with olives again, I really don't like it at all.

My favorite one would be the quattro formaggi. I love cheese in general and this type of focaccia makes it hard for me to resist eating it!

I've tried other types as well, but nothing can compare with focaccia with a lot of melted cheese on it!

Mine has to be with green olives or fresh tomatoes.

I have tried many variations and have not really discovered one that I dislike.

Just to let you know Focaccia it' a bit "generic".
A focaccia of northern Italy it's totally different from one of Puglia

I love a simple rosemary, sea salt and olive oil focaccia - there's an Italian restaurant at the next town along from mine which does the loveliest focaccia I've ever tasted. A local supermarket here also does a nice cheese and tomato one, which I could eat non-stop. It's a lot doughier than more traditional focaccia I've tried, but it's still delicious.

I have a friend whose whole family pronounce focaccia as "fo-cha-cha". We made some at her house a few weeks ago, and her pronunciation absolutely drove me nuts!
