My favorite Italian dessert has to be Panna Cotta. I love it's creamy and smooth texture.

What's your favorite Italian dessert?

I don't know if this can technically be counted, but since Nutella is Italian I also have to profess my love for any sort of Nutella based desserts. Nutella crepes, Nutella doughnuts, Nutella cheesecake - anything Nutella flavored is incredible.

I'm also a big fan of Nutella also and while I'm not sure it can officially be classed as an Italian dessert, I'll agree with you for this instance!

Like you say it goes well with a lot of things, but it's also good just on a spoon straight out of the jar. If the jar came on a plate with a spoon at the side as a dessert on its own I'd be more than happy, haha!

Yeah I thought that it could barely be counted as an Italian dessert since it's just an Italian ingredient that goes into other things (which aren't strictly Italian!) - but it was too good not to mention!

I hear you about it being so delicious just right out of the jar, too. In fact, it's rather dangerous for me to keep a jar in my house, because it just seems to disappear quite quickly! ;)

I agree with the jar being dangerous. If I buy a jar and leave it in the cupboard unopened and still sealed, I'm ok. As soon as I open it though it does tend to disappear fairly quickly, and I can't even blame the wife or kids because they don't even like it!

Yes I would definitely love this. Too bad about this restaurant though. To think it being famous for this desert would bring in more customers.

My mother likes to make tiramisu, the olda fashioned way.

When I was a kid I couldn't eat from it beacause of the coffee, and the alcohol. But now it is one of my favourites.

I'm a big fan on cannolis. They are definitely one of my top favorite desserts. I also like Nutella spread. However when I eat too much of it I get a splitting headache :(.

My dear Italian teacher once brought home-made Tiramisu to the lesson and gave it out everyone for free. And I pretty much enjoyed the experience.
