Easter On The Ischia Island

There is a sacred tradition on this island, that occurs at Easter. It seems there is an Angel Run, a sacred tradition organized by the Arch-confraternity of the Church of Santa Maria Visitapoveri, dating back to the 1600s.

It's a "run", but no one really runs anywhere :) It's full of people celebrating Easter and the encounter between the Virgin and her Risen Son, symbolically, if course.
 
I looked this up, maybe to find some short clip on youtube but I found nothing interesting.... although the tradition itself sounds so great!

Ischia is definitely a place I will visit before I die :D it's on my bucket list LOL

I think it's interesting how every region, every city has something special, like a tradition or something they do every year. I on't know if this is something you see everyday and probably not something you see in a lot of other countries :)
