I stumbled upon this DVD in our library, and I LOVE Marcello Mastroianni so I was curious about it, as I had never heard of it before. It is basically a tragic comedy (not sure which element is more dominant) about an Italian man in Sicily in the 60s who wants to get rid of his wife - in a time where divorce is still illegal. I am not sure if I liked the movie overall. I am also not sure if this was a result of the really bad subtitles (white words on white background, translating only half of what was said) or the film itself. What do you think? Has anybody watched this movie? How did you like it?

I have never even heard of it, but I would not mind taking a look at it, it never hurts to try.

This movie sound interesting, particularly because it takes a peek into a period of time when divorce was illegal. I enjoy movies about different time periods and seeing how people lived and dealt with things.
