Over the years, I have been to many different music concerts, festivals and other types of events in Italy. One thing that I have really noticed is that there are many cover type bands instead of new talent bands.

I mean some of these events have been big but yet they still hire cover bands instead of new talent.

I can understand that a cover band may pull in the crowds, but it does not help new musicians get known for something that they have created.

Do you like cover bands or do you prefer to hear new talent?

I always like to hear new talents as I think the music industry is going down the drain lately, and everyone keeps hoping for something good to happen.
In the last few years I realized music is changing and unfortunately, for the worse. It's like all you see are, like you said, cover bands, or new bands that play awful music (just an example, have you heard of the "What does a fox say" song? I was speechless..... it's new... but come on!)

Also, like you said, new musicians are practically invisible, you can't grow if you don't have a way to do so...
