You all remember the tragedy that happened just last year, with the ship that took the lives of 32 people who just wanted to have a good time on a cruise?

Well, as much as the island inhabitants insist on it being towed, the schedule now states that the wreck will be taken away only in Spring, 2014.

The towing has been postponed due to bad weather and now, engineers are building a seabed under the ship (a 950ft-long cruise liner is a big ship!)

I feel for the island inhabitants. They have to see the wreck everyday they pass by, it's a constant reminder of what happened. I hope they'll tow the ship as soon as possible!

I feel for the local resident too but after any major disaster these things take time to resolve. Usually, lack of funds delay them even further but in this case they say it's down to bad weather and it's a very big ship. The most important thing is that it is not polluting the local sea as if I remember correctly the remaining fuel was removed.

The problem is that seeing it sitting there brings back the negative memories of that tragic evening.

Lets hope it's removed as quick as possible without being delayed further.

It would also be nice to see some kind of memorial placed once the ship is finally removed to remember the poor victims who lost their life's in this tragic event.
