Francesco Schettino lawyers have requested a deal so that he may avoid a 20 year sentence. They are asking for 3 .5 years. There are all kinds of rumors about what happened and the ships owners are already off the hook by paying a fine of nearly 1 billion Euros.
 
Really?
Oh, well, I'm sure the families of all the victims are extremely happy that he will not spend his life in prison.
After all, it's not like more than 30 lives are that important anyway, the globe has a total population of billions :D

I think that as long as there is corruption in this world, justice has no place in it. Unfortunately it's what we see everyday, money and power can buy everything.
 
Keep in mind this is the defense's position and has not been accepted. Had he not abandoned the passengers he might of had chance at a reduction.

The disgrace here is the company bought there way out of it. It was well know that these type of dangerous passes were considered good advertising.

We will always have justice we just have to fight for it.
