Much as I love Italian culture, if it ain't got subtitles I'm helpless. Maybe this is the wrong place to post, but do any of you out there know how to get BBC via Internet? All I get is 'not available in your area' ... how do they even know where I live?

I think what you need is a VPN, but it will cost money - they give you a British IP address (something that says what country your computer is in) so the BBC thinks you are in England. uktvaccess.com or britishtvworldwide.com both will do more or less the same job. good luck.

I too am from the UK originally and it is nice to watch some TV from home every now and again. I have used a VPN service in the past and it worked well on the BBC, ITV, and Channel 4 streaming sections. (iplayer)

I was never able to access the streams through the tvcatchup site.

I still use a VPN to access UK content but have recently discovered Filmon.com where it seems to work without a VPN.

Their standard streams are not the best of quality but you can subscribe for a fee to get higher quality streams.

i agree - filmon is great for live tv - but uktvaccess.com is a great back up for watching catch up tv
