Bottled Water - With Hole

Today, I went to open a bottle of water and discovered a small hole in the bottle. I know that is has been known (a few months or years ago) that people went into supermarkets and injected stuff into bottles. (poison)

I am not suggesting that this is the case and i threw the bottle away to be on the safe side. Has anyone else experiences small holes in bottles or have any explanation. This is not a cut in the bottle it is a clean pinhead sized hole.

Anyone ever experienced this?
 
I did buy a bottle of water with half of the water gone. I don't know if thats because there was a hole in it, but I also did away with the bottle
 
Thats a freaky occurance. I am actually quite paranoid and obsess about these things, so can see why you chucked it.
 
Ewww. I have never heard of such a thing, and I realize this is a couple of months later since this post was done originally, but I appreciate the post. Certainly, if I noticed water empty or any damage, I would be concerned. I would notify the place of purchase and the manufacturer as well.
 
I usually play safe and have fizzy water too...I heard some places fill bottles with tap water, in some countries this might as well be poisoned for those with delicate stomachs!

i saw a video once before where they were buying old cola bottles, washing them and putting home made cola in them. just can't remember which country it was. yuck.

How terrible, glad you threw it away I would have to. Just a real long shot, it is possible when they cut open the case they nicked a bottle with the box cutter. Where was the pinhole located?
 
I havent experience that one but if ever it will happen i will return the bottled water to where i bought it.
 
I never encounter bottled water with a hole on it. Next time I am going to buy one then I would surely check it for hole.

Whoever has been doing that certainly some bad intentions?

Hi,

I have not experienced it yet may be I did not noticed it. Next time I should be more careful about bottle holes.
