Best Place To Travel In Italy?

Even thought it's a bit of a cliche, my favourite place I have visited in Italy was Venice. I just thought it was one of the most beautiful and picturesque places I had ever visited. I loved all of the energy and all of the positivity that I felt their. Plus the scenery was amazing!

I will highly recommend Tuscany. I fell in love in that place. The air is amazingly clean! And all the food there are just fresh.

It's so hard to choose, Italy is such a wonderful country. It really depends on what you are looking for. Naples is incredible. It's real and it's gritty. and it's a bit grimy in parts, but I absolutely loved it. In almost every street you can sit and people watch locals going about their daily business. Many people sit on their front steps with the doors and windows open, chatting and even preparing vegetables! There are mini shrines everywhere.

I had the most amazing wine in Naples, that was bought from a store where we got a pizza to take back to our hotel. I have no idea where it came from because it has no label on the bottle, but it was fantastic - and it cost only a few euros. The pizza was second-to-none too.

If you want to be by the sea, then you cannot go wrong with the Amalfi Coast, it's the most beautiful coastline I have ever seen.

Oh... the amalfi coast.... I'm actually falling in love with that place even if I have only seen pictures :D

That's pretty cool, what you saw in Naples :) People cooking on their front steps and chatting... seems like something you see in a movie! I wonder why everyone is running away from Naples :D I know many Neapolitans who left there to come to North Italy.

Naples is a very poor city. When I was there the garbage hadn't been collected for months and it was piled high in the streets! There is also a huge mafia presence, which may be part of the reason why people are leaving!

I would love to travel to Italy. I have always thought that Italy is one of the most beautiful countries. I love the history behind it, the language and everything about it. I'd even like living there, to be honest. I want to visit Florence, Venice and Rome, the most, but I'd like to visit every interesting place there is about it.

The best place and must see is Cinq Terre, it simply is amazing and you go there for the day. The five villages have their own character and is Italy at its best. Nearby is Pisa, Genoa, Firenze so you can use any of those as a base and travel by train as there are few places to stay in Cinq Terre.

I used to live in Firenze and it is wonderful, but I would also add Bologna as it is steeped in history and has an amazing vibe and atmosphere. It's easy to travel between the two by train as well.

For me, I loved Florence, liked Venice and Pisa but didn't greatly care for Rome. It was a long time ago that I went to some of these places, and Rome is probably a lot better now. But it felt like a bit too much hassle, both in terms of getting around but also the potential pickpockets and beggars. Outside of Rome felt lovely.

Well I want to visit the Colosseum in Rome. That's why I would like to go there. I've never been to any of those places, but I would love to visit them. There are a lot of beggars and pickpockets in Rome? There are quite a few pickpockets here, as well. Especially in public transport, like buses or trams. You have to always keep your important documents and money somewhere where nobody can take it from you without you noticing it. But enough about beggars, what else is there to see? Anything interesting in Milano? Worth a visit?

The Colosseum was interesting but maybe not as spectacular as I'd hoped. Obviously, there's Vatican City and the Sistine Chapel and so on to look at, so there's still plenty of value in the town. I just preferred the look of some of the other ones. I've never been to Milan unfortunately.

Ah well, it's probably not as grand as it's depicted in movies, games and such. I'd still like to visit it, however. Yes, Vatican and the Sistine Chapel are the first ones that come to mind when I think about it. Are the people there hospitable and nice? I like when people are happy and nothing can bring them down, and they share this happiness with everyone who comes.
