Well, since everyone is talking about it I guess we can debate this too: Berlusconi was sentenced to 7 years in prison for paying for sex. He can still appeal though. Sex with a minor, forgot to mention!

He was also banned for life from having a political life. I guess it's a lesson everyone should learn: no matter who you are, you can't get away with everything!

What do you think? Is the verdict fair? Do you think he'll get away with it anyway?
 
I think this is great news that they are finally pinning him down. However, we all know that the italian justice system is slow and he will probably never serve time in jail because of his age.

I think we still have to wait for the outcome of the appeal.
 
Damn, I forgot how old he is!

How come really old people can still, say... be president or prime minister (!) but can't serve time in jail? If they're still able to have sex with a minor, it means that they should still be able to stay in a prison cell. It takes less effort :rolleyes:
 
I have never understood why someone over a certain age does not go to jail. If they are old enough to do the crime, then surely they should pay the price regardless of age.
