What's your opinion of the 5 star movement?
Many are against it, many agree with them.

I've visited this guy's blog and from what I see, he's popular because he makes fun of the real politicians. I say real politicians because he is nothing more than a citizen who has an opinion and has found the courage to express it. Many people share his opinions about the political world so his blog became really popular really fast.

However, from being a simple man who bashes politicians on his blog, he now has formed this 5 star movement, he has all sorts o ideas and has even won the municipal election in Parma, in 2012.

They have a whole list of endless promises but in my opinion, they are not really going to turn into reality.

What do you think? Would you say he's a real politician or has he gone a bit too far with the charade?

I think that many young Italians voted for Beppe Grillo earlier this year because they really want change. Beppe has some really good ideas and many agree with them but It is easy to say things, but the reality is you have to do them. I think some did not vote for him for that reason. I think some have doubt that he is really capable of performing.

I've read some of his blog and watched a few videos of him performing in the theater. He really does raise some important issues and attacks politicians on a regular basis.

Actually, Beppe Grillo was banned from appearing On TV quite a few years back as he offended quite a few Italian politicians.

If he really is capable of doing what he says then he should be given a chance. But that is the question, could he be a politician?

I've read about him too and he seems to be a political satirist rather than, as some say, a comedian. I'm not sure whether his ideas could be made to work, but Italy is suffering, like many European countries, from a lack of choice, where all the main parties are saying the same things.
