Are They Cancelling The Sanremo Festival?

I read this news this morning, although it seems it's on the internet for a few days now. It looks like they're going to cancel the festival of Sanremo.

At first I thought it was a hoax, read the news on Facebook and thought the link was one of those pamphlet websites, but then I googled it and the news is really spreading fast.

It seems that the festival is not bringing in too much profit, people are not as excited as they used to be, the social media activity regarding the festival was practically non-existent and so on.

I have not heard about them canceling it, but would agree that they need to think of ways to make it more interesting.

Most people I know that watched it this year felt that was boring.

The festival has a very long history and it would be a real shame to see it disappear.
