Salerno

The Province of Salerno, part of the Campania region, is a very popular destination for tourists who wish to discover Italy. There are 158 comuni in this province, and the city of Salerno is the province's capital. The Salerno province is famous for its rocky, narrow valleys, the Gole del Calore di Felitto being a vast area where many of these gorges can be seen. The area, rich in flora and fauna, is a breathtaking sight. Historical buildings make for great tourist attractions as well, the most famous of the Salerno Province being the chapter house inside the Certosa di Padula monastery.
