Crotone
The Province of Crotone has a total of 27 comuni and it's one of the main tourist destinations in Italy because of it's location, very close to the Ionian Sea. But the sandy beaches are not the only tourist attractions around here. For instance, the Palumbo village is famous because of the breathtaking views of the Lake Ampollino, the Castle of Charles V is an important landmark of Crotone as well and, most importantly, the capital city of the Province is famous for it's history. According to the legend of Ovid, Hercules built this city in his friend's name, Crotone, to honour him after the hero himself has put an end to Crotone's life by mistake.
