Chieti

Chieti is one of the four provinces of the Abruzzo region, a beautiful Italian province with the Gran Sasso and Maiella mountains right in the background. Just a few kilometers far from the Adriatic Sea, the Chieti province is visited by quite a number or tourists, even if it's not a top choice for tourist destinations in Italy. Main sights in Chieti include the Gothic Cathedral in the city of Chieti, built centuries ago, the Oratory of Sacro Monte dei Morti, the Churches of Santa Chiara and San Francesco al Corso and many historical and art museums and botanical gardens.
